to be thankful

On this day and — remind me! — every day:

Whatever it is,
I cannot understand it,
although gratitude
stubbornly overcomes me
until I’m reduced to tears.

Gratitude for poets who express our thoughts so well…
“Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the earth.” Rumi
and for friends near and far who add grace to my life.
